In my contribution to the article, I discuss the different evidence-based health benefits of coffee, which include a decrease in all-cause mortality, risk of cardiovascular death, and stroke. On the flip side, overconsumption of coffee can cause insomnia, irritability, and gastrointestinal issues. Overconsumption of caffeine or consuming caffeine too late in the day can negatively impact sleep, which is essential for optimizing health, energy levels, and both stress and appetite regulation.
