Each program is listed out with a description of the services provided, qualifications to meet the program's requirements, links and guidelines for how to sign up to start receiving benefits, and contact information for different programs based on location.


1. Meals on Wheels

Services Provided

  • Home delivered meals and congregate (communal) meals at designated sites


Qualifications for Home Delivery

  • Must be 60 years or older, homebound, have no caregiver to help with meal preparation, and live within meal delivery area.

  • Must complete application process to determine eligibility.


Qualifications for Congregate Meals

  • Must be 60 years or older, at risk of malnourishment

  • Must call ahead to make a reservation (call phone number of site nearest you).

Services Provided:

  • Home delivered meals


Qualifications:

  • Must be actively fighting or receiving treatment for a serious illness. May be eligible if experiencing:

    • Recent unintentional weight loss

    • Recent, extended hospitalization

    • Start of new medical treatment (e.g., chemotherapy, radiation, hemodialysis)

    • Recovery from surgery

    • Wound care

  • A medical professional can complete a MANNA Referral Form and fax it to MANNA’s Nutrition & Client Services department at 215-496-9102.

3. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Qualifications:

  • Application-based, eligibility depends on household size, monthly income, expenses, and age of household members.

5. Share Food Program

  • Senior Food Box Program delivers one box of food per month to qualifying seniors in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Chester counties


Qualifications:

  • Age 60+

  • Household income ≤ 130% of the federal poverty line
